True fulfillment

True fulfillment

Fulfillment is not a feeling, nor is it purchased with money. Some say success comes by way of a job and a paycheck. Still others say it comes by the way of a family or material things. Some say their passion is what brings them fulfillment. First off fulfillment comes from God and God alone. Money can not purchase salvation, nor can it achieve true success. True success comes from the Lord. All the material things are just a by product of the joy found in Jesus Christ. Our true satisfaction is found in Christ alone. It is Him who placed a vacuum shaped hole inside of us, to please the Lord. That is what true success is. All that other stuff is only add on’s. The worship of money is idolatry and a sin. Many today care more about their passions then about their relationship with the creator. And so their focus is on their ministry, rather than the gentle beckoning of the Holy Spirit. Non Christians care more about what they can achieve on their own, whether it be a good paying job, a house, car, wife, and kids, and so they look at those who don’t have those things and see a person who is unaccomplished in life.
The Lord has a different view of success. If you are loving others and using your gifts toward His glory then it does not matter if you have a job, a house, a car, wife, or kids, you are successful in His eyes. Fulfillment reflects what is in your spirit. If the Holy Spirit resides there, then you are fulfilled, if not then you can have everything the world has to offer and still be empty.

Material things and your passions will only last for the moment, but God is always there in every micro second of your life. When the other things fail you which they will, He will not.
