The truth exposes the darkness

When Lucifer fell and became satan he lost the ability to grasp all knowledge of whom the Truth is. This is why his attempt on our lives is so significant, for he could only see and understand evil. The tree of the knowledge of good and evil: the good part had no part in him what so ever. When he told us that we could be god’s he was referring to his own pride of when he fell and his selfish desires. He wanted an army to take down the Lord. But the Most high saw his plan and allowed just enough morality though not enough to not keep us separated from God, it was enough to keep us questioning the devil and his plan, so we might be wooed by the Holy Spirit and saved because of the precious blood of Christ on the cross. Because satan does not understand the truth you can not trust those who are involved in his work, for there will be confusion at every turn. All he knows how to do is lie. And sometimes lies look enticing, or appear to be the truth, such as all the other religions in the

Change my heart

To follow You is not a service, but a pleasure. Lord let me breathe Your fresh air. You have cloaked me with Your Grace; search me and know me. Leave no stone unturned, I expose all my darkest of thoughts unto you, and ask that You might renew my mind. Your gentleness is patient with me, and I thank you for your belief in me. I’m ready to start making some changes in my heart. Take the chisel and the hammer and start chipping away at my imperfections. I give You the story of my life. With tears flooding down my cheeks, I weep for this world, if only they could know the You I know! There is no anger in Your eyes only sorrow that this world has chosen to forget about You. He wants so much to be your Father and friend, yet you push Him away and say, “I don’t need God.” And so you go on with your empty life trying to fill it with things and achievements, but after your filled your empty again and need to be refilled again. Nothing you get or achieve sustains you forever, but Christ can.

A saddened state of affairs

A saddened state of affairs The politics of today frown upon the tears that the young man wears upon his countenance. He walks the streets, drunk, clutching a beer can. As he passes by the socialites he checks his mind at the door of his sanity. What is it, this poor man’s crime that he remains an outcast? Wolves in sheep’s clothing, oh the sinister plot to destroy humanity, we are the problem. Casting food into the garbage heap, what a waste! Do we not see our stupidity for what it is, or we just too greedy? Corporate power and the devil of our own pride; we must see past this distortion. We want to be god and if we aren’t self gratified then to hell with the Truth. This is sadly our morality. The homeless and the least of these are suffering because we care too much for ourselves. We say you can’t help another until you first loved yourself. Wrong! The Bible states wash one another’s feet. He came to serve and we are to do Christ’s bidding. “How can I do this?” It’s simple recei

An encouragement

An encouragement Where have all the gods gone? Their locked inside my mind, awaiting their death penalty. And so I grasp the prison bars in contempt of my own pride, asking the executioner for assistance. The heavy weighted Man comes over to my cage, and I ask him the answer to the meaning of all this calamity, only to see him remove his mask, to find my face was there all along. There were no gods locked inside my mind, only a disease that caused me to believe I owned the world. I have to realize others might not be where I am, that they haven’t come to the realization that the the executioner is only their own thoughts being amped up by a chemical change, and that they are not their disease, despite the resounding resemblance between the image of the facade and who you really are. There is a hope for you out there, you don’t have to have all the answers, just know that you are cared for by a God who loves you. And the Voices, yes they are tormenting, but try to remember this: t

The old tavern

As far as the eye could see, there were many wooden shelves, all carved from the old oak that used to be out back in the garden. The shelves held many boxes, all made from priceless pearls. You could hear the thumping coming from each box, that of a heart beat in one’s chest.  There was an old man, disgruntled yet somehow he seemed to have been there before. He admired the wood work in the old tavern, and when he came to the boxes; he made an astonishing discovery. Opening one of them, he found a tablet with a name etched in the stone. He blew off the dust of one of the tablets, as the name inscribed started to shimmer. Words jumped off the stone saying, “My beloved son in whom I am well pleased, enter in.” The name on the tablet started to transform into a bod. In the twinkling of an eye he saw the future in his hands. (the rapture) Afraid he dropped the box and it closed. The tablet and the hologram of the rapture with the name and words spoken were drawn back inside the box, an

Christmas of 1942

The year, 1942, Christmas had arrived and smoke was billowing from the chimney. John spent an evening alone. He sat alone cherishing the Christmas story, as he read the book of Matthew.   John’s eyes blue as satin, draped in a hue of awe and wonder, as he took a gander out the window pane looking at the snow covered mountain peaks. When suddenly the sun wiped it’s sweat from its brow, for its shadow appeared through the window. It was then that an angel with charcoaled eyes all over his wings appeared. Afraid and not knowing how to react, and his face filled with terror; he grasped the knob on his bed, holding it with all his might, as his body shrieked backward. The angel put up his mighty hand of valor saying, “Don’t be afraid, I have come baring good tidings.” The angel proceeded to hand a baby, wrapped in swaddling clothes into the boy’s arms. As the Christ child gazed into the paleness of John’s eyes, John saw the reflection of the world. Wars past and present could be seen f

A vow of Purity

A vow of purity A vow of purity, so much devastation on the news, and raunchy media, I want to encourage a media fast. Do what you can to keep your heart guarded from all wicked thoughts. And the things that reinforce these thoughts, such as music, television, etc. cut them out of your diet. For we are not to be of this world. We are to turn away from our sinful desires and follow Christ. A vow of repentance, we can say all we want that we are sorry, but will we really change. It will take starving our flesh, and feeding our spirits. As this fast goes on, you will become dumbfounded at how much you cut out of your life. You will find that the world has desensitized us all to it’s evil. So let’s partner with the Holy Spirit and truly live!

When you are troubled

When you are troubled Troubled by my circumstances, yet I find peace in knowing You. My heart is broken in many pieces, but You gather me under Your wing, like a hen protects her chicks. When I run to You I’m never alone. You place a blanket around my shivering body and warm me by the fire of Your warmth. The thickness of the blizzard has you lost, in search for home. When you’re in pain, take heart, the Lover of our soul is searching for you. He won’t stop till He finds You. You may feel like no one cares, but Jesus is wanting to embrace you, and He has been for a long time. As you lay dying in the snow, and circumstances you’ve chose have left you numb. He carries you to His cabin and lays you by a fire. God wants you unconditionally. He wants you to live!

What is it you really want

What is it you really want  Misery, what a concept. It loves to be fed, and without Christ it will take up residence in your soul. Contentment and Joy, the opposite of misery, both love to be fed, the only difference portrayed here is misery condemns, joy and contentment do not. Joy and Contentment are not feelings, they are characteristics of the Holy Spirit, and He does not force Himself on anyone. All He does is convict, beyond that it’s your choice to chose. So which you will feed. Will you chose the Lord? Will you decide to live? I’ve tasted of misery, it is fun for a while, as long as you are in control. It’s no longer a pleasure when you can’t even enjoy your own pity party. And when the darkness of your past haunts you, it leaves an emptiness that no human can fill. It is then that you cry out for help, yet it seems no one is there. It’s because you’ve walked away from the Lord. It is only one step back my friend, just turn around and He’ll be there to pull you out of yo

Caterpillars and Butterflies

Caterpillars and Butterflies  The caterpillar an ugly creature, likened to a slug. It inches along leafy foundations. Moving at a slow pace. Like a Christian in the season of it’s winter it’s soul seems to bare no fruit. As it sheds it’s outer layer, a cocoon enshrouds the unsightly creature. Not known to the human eye, but the insect dies in this process. Before beauty comes ashes. It is the same with the Christian life, in order to attain eternal security, one must first die to their mortality. The caterpillar dies and becomes a beautiful butterfly. In order to reap the benefits of Christ your fleshly desires need to be crucified. After the Holy Spirit has rid your body of the world’s teachings, you can emerge in Christ. Like the Butterfly we have a mission to witness, to lift up other Christians, and to go into all the world to carry out His message. Do butterflies hang around caterpillars? No they live with other butterflies. Does that mean we never associate with others

The court room

The courtroom Creation moans, as the earth dies. The graves are on trial, and life’s purpose is the jury. The judge is God and the prosecutor is satan. A young man with sweat pouring from his brow sips some water and sits in the defendants chair.  God points at the defendant and calls him to the witness stand. The books are opened, and court comes to order. Satan comes to question the man, “Have you not lied to get yourself out of trouble,or have you not preached one thing to others and yet not walked the walk?” The man speechless could not deny. “On these grounds I declare this man guilty of hell, for Your Word declares, if a person breaks even one commandment you’ve broken them all. The wages of sin is death, this man must pay for his wages. He slacked in attending church, and did not spread Your message.” “Order, I must have order in my court, sit down satan. Let me question the man. First of all the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jes

Faith is not a feeling

Faith is not a feeling. It can’t be captured in a moment. It’s something you either have or don’t have. You either have a relationship with Christ or you do not. He places a root inside of you to battle any circumstance. That my friend is faith. It’s not goosebumps from a song, nor is it a voice like you hear when you talk to someone. In fact if you think God speaking to you in such a manner; I would test it with scripture before believing it’s message. That does not mean He does not speak that way, it only means don’t rely on that to always be the case, otherwise you might think God has abandoned you. “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Bible paraphrase) If you rely on feelings rather than the faith God has instilled in you, your relationship with Him will wither. Faith is all about trust, He wants you to fall into His arms, He’s awaiting to catch you, to love you with all His heart.

Will you listen

Will you listen A man in his early 30’s,  hunched over. His eyebrows knit together in a serious playful sort. Taking a gandeur at the children across the way. As he stands from a crouching position, he greets one of his admires. His clothes are somewhat tattered; his milky white complexion offers up an empty stomach.  At twilight he stumbles down an alley, drunk and confused. He seeks shelter in a near by shack built from boxes.  During the night shift he hears a disturbance. Now awake he’s face to face with a preacher.  “I don’t need your sympathy, I just want to be left alone”, said the man.  “There is someone who I want you to meet, if you still wish to leave after meeting Him you can.”  “Alright,” said the man, and so he followed him inside the church.  “Alright so who is this person.”  The preacher pointed to the cross.  “You got to be kidding me, Jesus, I came all the way in here to see a dead guy on a cross?” The homeless man stood up to leave, “I am on

Seek first the kingdom

Seek first the kingdom I’m looking for the words Lord. When pain comes I question your existence? Deep within my heart I  am broken. I know others have the same questions? But now I walk with my head lifted high, for my God has given me a reason to live. Tears used stream down my face and I wanted to give up. My health was not the best and still needs adjusting. God wants to give you a purpose. Seek Christ first, then a calling will follow. Make sure your passion is the Father, not the calling. for if you exalt the calling above the Lord you shall be humbled and unfulfilled. But when when you seek first the Lord and He exalts you that is when you will feel complete. “Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added unto you.” (Bible paraphrase)

Are you in a lions den

Are you in a lions den Does the enemy have you ensnared? Does a strong hold have a hold on you and won’t let you go? Are you sleeping with the lions as they torment you? Does God have them on a leash, and is their bark keeping you from your calling in life. You’ve veered off the narrow and tasted of the world’s passions, you can feel the darkness all around you. You wonder where has your spark gone. Are you trying so hard not to make the same mistake that you end up making things worse for yourself? They call that burn out. And when you are too tired to pray, that is when the enemy breaks free of his leash, seeing your weakness, he attacks.  Be on your guard brothers and sisters. You are living in a time where the world is a den of lions. And satan owns that world. “Don’t be of that world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” (Bible paraphrase) Let the Holy Spirit guide you when you are dealing with conflict, “For we wage war not against flesh and blood, but agains

True fulfillment

True fulfillment Fulfillment is not a feeling, nor is it purchased with money. Some say success comes by way of a job and a paycheck. Still others say it comes by the way of a family or material things. Some say their passion is what brings them fulfillment. First off fulfillment comes from God and God alone. Money can not purchase salvation, nor can it achieve true success. True success comes from the Lord. All the material things are just a by product of the joy found in Jesus Christ. Our true satisfaction is found in Christ alone. It is Him who placed a vacuum shaped hole inside of us, to please the Lord. That is what true success is. All that other stuff is only add on’s. The worship of money is idolatry and a sin. Many today care more about their passions then about their relationship with the creator. And so their focus is on their ministry, rather than the gentle beckoning of the Holy Spirit. Non Christians care more about what they can achieve on their own, whether it

A lull in the silence

A lull in the silence  There was a lull in the silence; the sound of birds chirping in the morning. God’s mercy is everywhere. The dew on the grass; the reminder of His tears that He has poured forth. They represent the fact we hurt. The sun still shines, flowers still bloom, people still love others, even though our world is chaotic. If only we would look at the stars to see the majesty the sky beholds. Even in our darkness night, reality can still seem pretty black. Smile at someone today, let them hear of Jesus. For those who have ears to hear, let them hear. Let nature speak of His grandeur. When misery comes, and it will, don’t fold your hand, but rather rise up, for there is a lull in the silence. Jesus is in the reminder of the birds Chirping. It is the love you feel at Christmas from your family, your wife and kids, this is God’s mercy to you. He is always thinking of you.

Be prepared

Be prepared Walking the streets, umbrella in hand. The rain cries from the sky, yet I’m untouched. Looking at the world around me, all seem to have no umbrellas, except those who got the message about the weather today. Our job is to alert those without umbrellas as to the nature of the weather, so they might be prepared.  If a down pour was coming would you not tell your friend about it, so they would have the proper info and gear to go out in the storm. It is the same with the message of Jesus! Eternity is the storm, and where you go is up to you! You can either listen to the channels telling you the information about how to get to where you want to go, or you can ignore those constant warnings and live your own way. But just know when this life is over, and the party has ceased, you will step out into the rain without a protective covering. Salvation is that covering, the Holy Spirit in your heart.

His family

His family If you are broken, you are in the right place. If you feel like you are too damaged, then here is right where you need to be. Jesus is the Father of the fatherless, and takes care of the abandoned. Know this: he is not like your earthly father, you don’t have to earn His approval. You already have it. He is gentle and kind, He is there to teach His son’s how to become men when their father’s have not taught them how, and He is there to speak into the lives. He is there to share wisdom with His daughter’s, to protect them from the wrong type of men, and to tell her how precious she is in God’s eyes.  If you are seeking approval from an abuser or a gang, you need to learn to become a God pleaser rather than a people pleaser. You can’t please everyone, there will come a day where you will have to disappoint someone to make what is a good decision for yourself. First off your abuser is just that an abuser. Just because they apologize does not make them your friend. The

Emptiness, we all feel it

Emptiness, we all feel it Emptiness, it’s a feeling we all feel, that none of us want to experience, yet we all go through it at one point in our lives. Whether it be a loss of a loved one, or simply out of loneliness. When we feel this way we disregard the thoughts and feelings of others, choosing our own crutch to lean on.It shows we have insecurities, and a lack of self worth. If you can’t love yourself, you can’t love others. And so people are detracted away from those type of person’s. Because they don’ t want to get hurt or let down.  As one who has been in the position of one who is a loner and a extrovert I would like to stand up for the loner crowd. Just because we are reserved and hang in the background does not mean we are a negative influence. We’ve been burned and we prefer to be cautious before entering into a relationship telling our whole life story. Our past may scare others away, and so we disappear into the background.  I am one that both wears

Heavy metal expose

Heavy metal expose Intro: I was a troubled young boy. About 7 or 8 or so, there was a disturbance in my life that satan used to traumatize me. This was the beginning of a life of becoming a bitter and angry young man. My parents fought a lot and one day in particular it began to escalate, it was then I became frightened, went upstairs to search the radio for what would be my coping mechanism for the next two decades. At first the tones of the metal music which I heard turned me off, but soon I was to become enthralled with it, for it’s poisonous venom would have me back for more. It was like an insect bite, you scratch to soothe the pain then the infected area gets swollen, and creates more itching, thus spreading the venom of the insect. So yes the metal music did help in a way yet it caused more suffering in the long run and instilled a pain deep inside that only Christ could heal.  Being given the gift of discernment of spirits, I had visions from God warning me to stay a

It’s a wonderful life

It’s a wonderful life You think it’s a right? Well question this? DNA, when is it born? And when is purpose as well as a person’s future decided? Science says that a blob of DNA does not deserve to be developed. His or her purpose affects more than just you or even the person he or she develops into. For the destiny of the child affects lives outside the gamete of our country. When a life is taken, that person’s purpose is stolen away. The child’s existence affects his or her purpose and whom they might touch during their life span. It’s like the movie, “It’s a wonderful Life” when he wished he had never been born. There were lives he had touched that were completely different without him. If our society insists on playing God like this, then don’t complain about societal suffering, for they are part of the problem, they are wiping out the answer God is trying to use as a solution. Here you have a gift inside of you; God is speaking through the kicks in your tummy and yet you’ve

When God seems distant

When God seems distant When mountains refuse to move, and valleys seem too dark to overcome, look to God, for He comforts the ill. Maybe His timing may seem out of touch,  I don’t know what you’ve experienced or what you may be going through. It maybe that you have a terminal illness, and don’t have much time with your family. God wants to be the one you lean on. When darkness knocks at your door; there is a light, but the question is will you reach for it? The Lord wants to lead you through this pain, not around it. He wants you to know that you are loved, and Home is awaiting you. Do not fear, for He has your family well taken care of. For they too have angels surrounding them.  If you are struggling with mental health issues; I’ve walked your road, begging God to take it from me. I have found that I would not be writing this blog today to you if you did not matter. I encourage you to keep living, for you do have a purpose, if I did not still have a mental illness mysel
